Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Paower Ventures LLC, doing business as Fortuna Studios ("Fortuna Studios," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use fortuna-studios.com and related services (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Your email address, when you join our email list, sign in, buy something, or contact us.
  • Your Instagram handle or other display name, if you choose to give it to us for the end credits or High Rollers.
  • Information you submit in a business cameo application or brand partnership form, such as your name, business name, website, social accounts, budget, and message.
  • Anything you send us by email.

Information from purchases: when you buy from us, our payment processor Stripe collects your payment details and billing information. Stripe shares with us your name, email address, the items you bought, the amounts paid, the date, and the status of any subscription. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically: our hosting and database providers record basic technical information when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. If you sign in, we store a sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell access to your browsing activity.

Information from social platforms: votes happen in public comments on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. We count those public comments, which may include the public username of the account that posted them. We do not receive any private information from those platforms.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide the Site, process purchases, and deliver what you bought, including founder numbers, credits, High Rollers listings, and memberships.
  • Display your chosen handle publicly in end credits, on High Rollers, on the Site, and in promotional material.
  • Send sign-in links, receipts, account notices, reminders about your membership or credits, and emails about new episodes and shows. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.
  • Count votes and show vote results.
  • Review cameo and partnership applications and communicate with applicants.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and fake votes, and keep the Site secure.
  • Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
  • Comply with the law and enforce our Terms.

3. What is public

If you give us a handle, it is shown publicly in end credits, on High Rollers, and possibly elsewhere on the Site and in the shows. High Rollers shows your rank, but never the amount you paid. Your email address and payment information are never shown publicly. If you do not want your handle shown, leave the handle field empty.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Site, under contracts that limit their use of your information: Stripe (payments, and for Managed Payments purchases, acting as seller of record), Netlify (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Resend (email delivery), Bunny.net (video hosting for members), and Google (email and business tools).
  • Authorities or others when we believe the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Fortuna Studios, our users, or others.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5. How long we keep information

We keep your account and purchase information for as long as you have a pass or membership, and afterwards for as long as needed for tax, accounting, legal, and fraud prevention purposes. Names that have appeared in published episodes remain in those episodes. We keep email list information until you unsubscribe. We keep application information for up to two years.

6. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them.
  • Change or remove your handle from your vault or by emailing us. A removed handle will not appear in future episodes, but episodes already published cannot be changed.
  • Cancel a membership at any time from your vault.
  • Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing fortunastudios1@gmail.com. We may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations or complete transactions.

Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, restricted database access, and payment processing through Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

9. International users

We are based in the United States and store information in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Site, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in those countries.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice, such as an email.
